Project Management: “The Key to Organizational Survival & Success”.

While the Corona Virus Pandemic might stay with us for a little while till a cure or vaccine is found, organizations, businesses and economies must all find a means of survival.

According to Tom Peters, “Project Management is the Key to organizational survival and success.” This definition has stayed with me for so long and I have come to believe it in its entirety. While so many people might be tempted to say “why make it so definite – the Key?” “Is that the only factor for organizational survival and success?” The reality is Project Management is actually the major and critical key for organizations that would survive this global pandemic. Take it or leave it, doing the usual this time around will not get any organization anywhere.

Some organizations have launched a Marketing Campaign which is a project, some have decided on a Technological advancement project, a Business process re-engineering project, some are even on a lean project to sift out waste in the systems. Without the right Project management skills in place, these projects will not accomplish the desired goals.

No enterprise regardless of the size is ready to waste a single dime without getting outstanding results in these times, therefore it is important for individuals and organizations to hone their project management skills now than ever before.

Doing the usual will not get that desired result, therefore it is time to think outside the box, invest in those projects of yours and map out strategies using Project management skills to achieve your desired goals.

Whether you are out of job, working remotely or back to work fully getting outstanding results is what would stand you out of any crowd. It is a life skill that no one can take from you and then you can add the icing on the cake which is getting certified.
